Reminder
The upcoming Annual Fall Seminar, which will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2014, is fast approaching. The registration deadline has been extended to Saturday, October 11, 2014. Judy Russell is one of the foremost genealogists in the nation. She holds a law degree and is also one of the most desired speakers at genealogical events throughout this country. Judy's topics of discussion (which includes a major session on DNA) and the schedule for the day can be found on the TNGS website. You can register online through PayPal or with a credit card. You can also download the seminar flyer and mail it in with a check or bring it in to the Pickering Center with cash. The cost is $35.00 for members or $40.00 for non-members. (Special prices are available for students.) That price includes a box lunch and refreshments throughout the day. (The lunch choices are on the registration page and on the flyer.)
The Tennessee Genealogical Society has also gathered a number of outstanding door prizes for this event. These prizes include: an annual membership to Fold3, an annual membership to Newspapers.com, and a FamilyTreeMaker 2014 software program (also available for Mac users). The most notable door prize of the day will be a one year’s World Subscription to Ancestry.com. (The price of that is equivalent to $299) You will need to be present to win!
